In the center of the room is the GORILLA, sitting at a small desk. His back faces the entrance. On the desk is a typewriter, bottle of scotch and a glass, and an ashtray and cigarettes. The GORILLA is typing with a great deal of concentration. He drinks and smokes as he types. At the completion of each page, he checks his work, gets frustrated, roars, and rips the paper from the typewriter and throws it on the floor. The floor is subsequently covered in papers. The GORILLA continues to type until he types the complete works of William Shakespeare.
